Wilson Benesch A.C.T. One Evolution High Gloss Burl Walnut Finish

  I had sold these speakers and had them all boxed up, put them in their original boxes then the customer wanted the Endeavors instead.  I didn't take very good photos before that, only two. I added additional photos from the WB website to show some the very high quality of detail. If you understand I appreciate it.  

We are closing our doors, it has been fun for fifteen years. In that time I made some remarkable discoveries after searching the CES Shows and the RMAF shows which we took part in. During that time I reduced the number of brands I carried to those that meet a very high standard. Wilson Benesch is most certainly one of those. Very very high tech designs both the drivers and the cabinets and what is more remarkable in the speakers industry they are a joy to listen to. One Evolution has over that bass is insane.”

At the centre of the Troika System is the Hybrid Dome Technology Semi-sphere Tweeter – a highly engineered solution for high frequency sound reproduction. Two midrange drivers each in its own high tech carbon fiber chamber.

As the pioneers of carbon fibre composite technology, Wilson Benesch drew upon more than two-decades of knowledge and expertise to create a hybrid diaphragm for the Semi-sphere consisting of carbon fibre and silk.

Weigh 110 lbs. 46.7” tall with a small footprint. 

Interesting facts: 

1. Light low mass objects resonate at higher frequencies which are much more easily controlled. Heavy MDF or Aluminum cabinets have a much lower resonance point and as you can imagine are extremely difficult to manage. Ping a good wine glass to hear it resonate.

2. Composite materials are extremely effective at dampening vibrations. The A.C.T. stands for Advanced Composite Technology. 

3. Wilson Benesch even thought they have pioneered carbon fiber technology do not use it in drivers simply because it does not produce a natural sound.
