Vintage Klipschorn Speakers

Selling My Friend's Khorns :

I lost a good friend about three years back to cancer and I am trying to help out his widow.  She has sold off some of the gear but it's finally come down to the Klipschorns.  

The speakers are located in the Charlotte NC area and shipping is NOT an option:

I last listened to these beauties about a month before he passed and they were magnificent.  He picked them up from an older gentleman and had them for the better part of four or five years.  He decided to have the crossovers upgraded with Crites and did the Crites tweeter upgrade at the same time.  The results were fantastic.  In addition to the crossover replacement; he rewired them with Cardas cable and did some dampening of the mid horn.  They have a few nicks and dings but the face and tops are very clean.  They are an excellent specimen indeed.  If I lived closer, they would already be in my mancave.  Since this will be a face to face sale, I will let the buyer make his/her own judgment.  I believe the price is quite fair for what’s being offered.  Needless to say, they were well cared for and lucky for the buyer, they won’t be too bad to pack up and remove.   You are welcome and take a look before you purchase but she is looking to have the speakers removed ASAP.   Time to find a new home.
