McIntosh Mc452

I bought this thinking it would be the last amp I ever needed to purchase.  Bought in 201 from Audio Classics in Binghampton NY (argueably the most famous and knowledgeable authorized McIntosh Dealer in the world).  After spending the better part of 2 years buidling my home vinyl 2-channel system, I realized my rack just sits too tall overall.  With the release of the new MC611 Monoblock amps, I'm going to upgrade my single 2-channel amp to a pair of mono-blocks and move them out of my single tower rack.  

To say this amp is perfect is an understatement.  It came out of the box, was placed in this rack and has sat there unplugged for the better part of a year now.  While auditioning a pair of speakers, it was plugged in and ran for about 4 hours total before I decided on which set of speakers I was keeping.  It ran at about 50% power output at max (needles at dead center position).  It was then unplugged and sat here while the rest of the system was being acquired.  

Retail is $7500, my starting bid is about what I was offered on trading in towards a new pair.  Everything that came new with it is included: Amp, McIntosh power cord, owners manuals, papework, speaker cable post tightening tool, clear covers for speaker cable connections (still in plastic and never used), both inner and outer boxes (not pictured, they're in storage).  Due to the size and weight, this needs to ship strapped to a small pallet!  The shipping weight is almost 150lbs!  You will def. need a second person to help you unbox this and move it to your amp rack!
