This is a beautiful Esoteric G 25u Master Clock Generator and PCM Digital Audio Up-Converter. This component is VERY RARE, I’ve only seen one other on Audiogon (for $1200).

The G-25U contains a highly accurate, internal crystal oscillator known as a “Master clock.” This “clock” reduces system noise and digital artifacts (digital jitter), dropping the noise level between a DAC and a digital transport to less than 1/100th of non- synchronized devices. A more accurate master clock results in higher accuracy in reading and decoding digital data. This adds extraordinary ambience, imaging and clarity to a digital audio signal by removing inter-component jitter.

It works so well I’m looking to move up to the G Os ($12,000).. I cant afford the G O1 ($23,000) yet!

Condition:
I’m rating it an “8” based on a small indentation on the top fron faceplate (see pics). Functionally, it’s perfect, never a repair or concern.
