Luxman MB-88u Ultimate Limited Edition Monoblocks from Japan 100V KT88 60W

Up for sale are some VERY rare Luxman MB88u Monoblocks. They are KT-88 tube operated in push-pull making 60 watts. They utilize the legendary Luxman OY output transformers, and were created to celebrate the 40-year career of one of Luxman's great engineers, Susumu Uehara. (the "u" in their Ultimate series products is also a reference to his name). 
They only made 200 pairs of these amplifiers, so they are quite rare. Compared to the Luxman MB-3045 (which I am also fortunate enough to have possessed) they have more power, drive, better bass response and control, with a cleaner mid and top end. They are definitely voiced in a similar fashion to the MB-3045, just kind of like its big brother. 
The amplifiers are in good shape, and I am giving them a conservative 7 for the following: A bit of oxidization on the cages, chassis, transformers. One also was slightly damaged in transit across the ocean, which dented the back of the underside of one of the chassis' at the speaker terminals. I was able to straighten the damage, and I replaced/upgraded the speaker connectors in the process. (with Canare wiring between them and the OPTs) 
I replaced all the tubes in these amplifiers to further enhance their sound. The 12AU7s are RCA Long Plate Side Getter Clear tops, and they are using a 12BH7 for the driver (very common on these amplifiers) which are 1953 Sylvania Back Top D Getters. The Power tube are new Gold Lion Quad Matched KT88s, with less than a 100 hours on them at most. 
They come with 2 copies of the manuals, the cages, the side handles, and the tubes they were delivered with, that include ORIGINAL, Made in England Gold Lion KT88s. Because these are 100V, I will also include a very high quality step down transformer, and the little bamboo stand I made for it!
