1955 One Owner Garrard 301 SME + Shure!

This is a very hard to find ONE OWNER Garrard 301!
Serial Number is 10478, which I believe dates it to around June, 1955.

The plinth is wood, and is in restore-able condition.
I got this from an 87 year old retired audiophile doctor. He and his wife were moving into an assisted living home and he couldn't take any of his stereo gear or records so I got them all.
The turntable powers up and runs. As you can see in the pics, the power switch is broken. It can be easily repaired or replaced. All speeds work, but the grease in the motor needs to be replaced, so the turntable spins, but squeaks. 
Now, to be 100% honest, I know NOTHING about Garrard 301 turntables! What I can honestly say is that, from what I see here, this Garrard 301 looks to be a very worthy and worthwhile candidate for restoration! It appears to be in very good working condition and all original, with the exception of the tonearm.
The tonearm is an SME Model 3009. The Cartridge is a Shure V15 Type IV. The stylus appears to be in very good condition under my untrained eye!
