Parasound Halo CD 1- Price Reduced

 (as per Audiogon specs) In Excellent Condition.  Although discontinued, this is Parasound's last offering (Halo specs) of a "Redbook" CD player; designed with Holm Acoustics from Denmark. Utilizes a CD-ROM drive (4x), instead of a conventional Audio CD drive (turning it into a true 'digital reader' that feeds a perfectly reconstructed bit by bit signal  to a passively-cooled Intel computer) and manages to employ only a single Analog Devices DAC in stereo mode. Has a Discrete/Op Amp option that allows to listen to analog outputs directly from the OpAmps or via discrete transistor output stages and inverts polarity when needed.  Important: You can connect it to a external DAC and use it like a transport through the 3 digital outputs available and have multiple options to suit each particular recording (it really works if the external DAC is high end (Benchmark, Auralic Vega); you can distinguish the different textures, presence and resolution if you switch from one output to another).
