I’m sure you know what these are if you’re looking at this ad. These were hand made, by me. They are 100% built to plan with 2 exceptions. I did not provide room for a grille to be installed because I thought it was ugly and wanted to round over the front baffle. Additionally I mounted the rear woofer baffle with external screws instead of the hidden cleat since it was overly complicated and seemed like it had more chance to rattle. I even tried to “bookmatch” the front baffles with what was available from the stock I had purchased.

Construction details: Peerless XLS woofer upgrade per plans. Neutrik Speakon connectors for easy hookup. Woofers wired in parallel. Constructed with good quality baltic birch plywood, finished with 3 coats of Shellac. They are well constructed, well finished, and present very nicely.

Sale will include the following: Pair of NaO Note II rs loudspeakers, 2 speaker cables; Speakon terminated at one end for speaker, bare wire at the other, one is approx 12’ and the other 8’. All documentation and all 4 of John K’s miniDSP filter sets will be provided.
You will need to provide 8 channels of amplification and miniDSP of your choice.
I will ship at buyers expense. Will be professionally packed in two boxes and fully insured or free pick up of course. We can discuss details of course.

Questions for the seller
Of course, I meant "Sigfried" - haste makes waste - I guess. I do have the Linkwitz Orions - and they do sound about as good as anything available - like Maggies with bass and dynamics, which is why I recognized the similarities. If they sound even close to the Orions - they are certainly worth the investment.
Thanks for the kind words. I agree. While sigfried was doing the Orion’s, John was making an MTM design seas components different woofer section. John went on to make a 4 way with full DSP, using an AMT tweeter as a dipole, and finally the Note II rs which is very close to Siegfried’s LX521 design. Different paths and they both ended in the same place. I saw recently sigfried announced his retirement. He’s left an indelible legacy on the industry. Enjoy your Orion’s.....and also buy my notes?
And... yes... I did "note" that the Notes looked more like the LX521's than the Orion's. Too bad that more "'philes" are not familiar with these designs - there would be a lot more fans out there with a lot more money in their pockets, who were much happier with the sounds of their systems!
Agreed on all points.
Hmmm... very subtle copies of Frederich Linkwitz's designs - I'm sure they sound very similar.
Sigfried linkwitz and John K’s designs were actually fairly parallel in their developments. Each made different decisions at different times in the development, and both ended up arriving in roughly the same place. The back and forth was well documented on the forums. I’ve not heard linkwitz’s designs but I have heard that they are extremely similar. I wouldn’t [filtered] either ones copies of the other.
