Neat Acoustics Motive SX3

For sale: one pair of Neat Acoustics Motive SX3 bookshelf speakers in black oak veneer.

I like these speakers a lot. They have a sweet treble and good dispersion. Lower frequencies are nice and tight, and roll off convincingly.

The drivers are in excellent condition and are dust free. I have used the speakers with the grills attached in a smoke-free apartment.

The grills are held in place by two small magnets mounted on the inside of the grills. One grill has one magnet missing. The grill still stays securely in place, but tilts to one side from time to time. Easy to correct. There is a smudge on one of the grills that can be brushed off.


The oak veneer is in very good condition. There is some minor dimpling on the bottom of each speaker from my speaker stands, but the veneer has not been punctured or torn. The sides, tops and edges are all crisp. 

Reason for sale: I decided to try something else! Though I must admit I am fond of the Neats and will miss them a little bit.
