Hello Fellow Cammers!

A special treat for all you electrostatic fans today: a clean and mint rare black finish version (I am not a fan of any of the silver finish models) of the Stax SRM-600Tii earspeaker energizer (amp in layman terms!) for your consideration.

I am the second owner, purchased off the original owner in Quebec. Used sparingly in a pet free, kid free, non-smoking household. Tubes still have a lot of life in them; they are the stock OEM tubes. I have upgraded the stock fuse to a Hifi-Tuning Supreme fuse, and this baby sings!

I used this to drive my Koss ESP950 and my Stax SR-007 MkII. I have heard an SR-L700 on this as well and it sounds divine. But the pairing that really has me gobsmacked is this unit and the Koss ESP950, which sounds awful with the bundled Koss energizer. Using an aftermarket adapter (also available for sale, please ask) to plug into the SRM-600Tii, the improvement in sound quality of the Koss electrostats was simply astounding. Bass response and soundstage were instantly improved. The slightly harsh grainy character of the Koss headphone with its OEM energizer was gone, and you had details but with a touch of warmth and flesh on bone!

Why am I selling? Why does anyone sell anything on Audiogon? I am on a collision course with madness, bankruptcy and divorce, perhaps all three will occur simultaneously! So, yeah, I bought something much more expensive, and selling this little beauty will at least help me recoup the sales TAX on my new amp!

The unit comes with everything, just no manual, however, the operation is exactly the same as it is with the newer Stax SRM-006TS energizer. The latter is retailing for USD 1,125.
