Accuphase T-100 PRISTINE CONDITION!

The Accuphase T-100 AM/FM tuner is considered to belong in the class of the best sounding analog tuners ever produced at any price! This specific tuner has been recapped with Elna Silmic, Nichicon Muse and both ultra high end polypropylene and polystyrene film caps,(see photos). The complete restoration and alignment was performed by Avatar Engineering in May, 2018. Additional modifications include: Vishayfilm and foil .1% (best in the world), Shinkoh tantalum, Takman and Vishay/dale ultra precision resistors in key areas along with a larger capacitance power supply featuring ultra fast recovery rectifiers and polystyrene bypass caps (see photo's). The tantalum capacitors were also replaced with audiograde film replacements. Cosmetically, the tuner is in mint condition and presents quite nicely from the front, top, sides..The interior looks new. . All meters, knobs, and buttons were rebuilt and work as they should. Additionally the dial indicator lights were also replaced with LED's. After the tuner was refurbished it was sent to Michael Zuccaro for an alignment. I have had throughout the years ( and still own a few) many Mcintosh, Sansui, Kenwood, Day Sequerra etc. tuners, and with the possible exception of the Sansui TU-X1 and the Marantz 10B this Accuphase T-100 beats them all in sound quality, selectivity and sensitivity! The reception is very smooth and tubelike with great treble, midrange and bass. Includes a new aftermarket power cord. All reasonable offers will be respectfully responded to. Please note these tuners are selling at $1200 + in much worse cosmetic condition, However they still have the original capacitors in them which are 40+ years old. Even the best capacitors in the world according to the manufacturers claim that they should be replaced at 20 to 25 years of use. There are also some resistors in these units that do need replacement after a maximum of 30 years or so. A professional recap and refurbishment/alignment such as the one which was performed on this tuner costs at least $700, just do the math! Included with the tuner are the original wood case (extremely rare and sell for upwards of $400 in this condition if you can find one!) and original antenna and a new aftermarket power cord. Thank You
