Phison PD2SE Modular Linestage DAC up to DSD256

Hello everyone!

I am selling my PD2SE. This is the most up to date version. That being said, Sonny developed the PD2SE with a modular design so as technology advances the unit can easily be upgraded at an affordable price.

This has been an outstanding linestage and one should expect that in this price point. What I think really sets it apart is the fact that the DAC section can easily compete with DACs upward of $15,000. I have written about this piece as I performed a DAC shootout against the Rockna Signature Wavedream, Metrum Adagio, and the COS D1. These can be found on the WhatsBestForum. Short summary is that I found the music through the Phison to be the most enjoyable with no fatigue yet still all the detail I would want. If you have a fast amplifier, the PD2SE will probably sound VERY good in your system. I prefer the PD2SE when fed with DSD files as the DSD section of the DAC gives clearer separation, perfect imaging, and a very realistic soundstage.

Phison has impressed me with every component put out there and just as much by the exceptional service provided. Any question I have had Sonny has been able to help me with promptly.

This comes shipped in the flight case inside a cardboard box.

I am looking for $9,500 for this as it is a demo unit and not brand new. It is in stellar shape though!

The MSRP is $14,000.

Also, for those who are not familiar with Sonny from Phison, he has done some of the OEM work for brands such as Aavik, Raidho, and many more Denmark legends. To say I am a fan is an understatement. I have owned a lot of great preamps such as the Levinson 32 and the VAC Signature Mk II. I prefer the Phison.
