BLUE POINT #2 Hi-Output MC Phono Cartridge; gently used with very low hours.

The SUMIKO Blue Point #2 has been recognized by the HiFi industry a
standard bearer in the field of conservatively price high output
Moving Coil cartridges for years. Most every independent Audiophile
magazine and independent reviewer has raved about this cartridge
since it was released. It has been an “Absolute Sound” “Editors'
Choice” Award since 2013 and a favorite among it's many satisfied
owners. 

The Blue Point #2 sounds very natural with very good depth and imaging
and an excellent soundstage. There is an abundance of detail across
the frequency range. The treble is nicely airy and open, smooth and
grit- free across the upper registers and the midrange is quite
transparent and expressive. The upper and midbass are remakably
articulate. Over all, it is smooth, slightly sweet and extremely
musical with a well balanced presentation that doesn't seem to favor
specific frequencies. Fidelity-wise this one is hard to beat anywhere near its' price. Absolute Sound magazine praised its' superior three dimensionality, rich potent bass
and smooth highs; describing it as the “...long considered go-to
choice among affordable, high output moving-coils...a huge step up
from entry-level cartridges...”

This SUMIKO Blue Point #2 has about 60 hours on it. The suspension has
been properly worked in and the cartridge is ready to perform at it's
maximum potential. It was responsibly used and never abused. The
cartridge was professionally installed and calibrated on a $600
Pro-ject Turntable with a carbon fibre arm and the 'table was
properly balanced and set up upon installation. To be sure, I found
that the performance of the BP#2 more than satisfactory. However,
I've just upgraded turntables and it was supplied with an excellent
cartridge that works very well so it make sense to sell the Blue
Point.

The cartridge will be well packed for shipment. The original box is
there. The cartridge will be properly packed and supplied with 2
generic mounting screws and a downloaded owners' manual. The
cartridge is in perfect condition but of course there is no warranty
as it is a used component. Shipping to the ConUS is $7.00.

This is a chance to buy a one of the best rated phono moving-coil
cartridges under $500 at a very low cost. You can't go wrong here. It
just sounds great and very few cartridges can equal its' performance
it in it's price range.
