Exemplar Audio eXception headphone amp is all tube, short Class A triode signal path, and does both balanced and unbalanced headphone outputs.  This unit is used as a reference by reviewers.  No negative feedback in the circuitry, direct coupled output stage, mu-metal power transformers that are custom built, DC regulated filaments, an much more.  End result is very wide bandwidth, extremely low noise, very black backgrounds, with high dynamic range and very fast transients.
