It's time to start letting someone else enjoy this. Look closely at the pictures, it is not mint but it is in better condition than many of them which are out there. It has been thoroughly gone over, the solder joints that sometimes fail on the motor itself have been addressed, each and every electrolytic capacitor has been measured and any that were out of tolerance have been replaced (3 of them). Any solder joints that looked like they needed touching up have been taken care of as well.
The solenoid and mechanism for the mechanical brake has been cleaned and lubed. The control buttons (Start/Stop, 33, 45, 78) have been cleaned and re-lubed and work well.

The unit starts and stops practically on a dime, pitch is spot on and the digital 0.1% pitch adjustment works in both directions all the way to +/- 9.9% as designed. Display digits are bright and work perfectly.

Aside from a few minor cosmetic issues (which I tried to capture with the pictures) and the platter mat is dusty with a few marks on it, this unit is great and will serve the new owner well. It probably falls between 7 & 8 on the grading scale, I will post it as 7.

You can download manuals online if you need one, try vinyl engine or hifi engine. Unit will be very well packed for safe shipment, check my feedback and buy with confidence.

Unit is sold as is and as described. The 3 old capacitors will be included. The replacement capacitors were Japan made Panasonic FC or FM type. You can spend more for one of these and get a lot less. Very few of them being sold have been completely gone over as this one has. This unit was not used in a radio station, it came from a personal collector to me, and now is being offered to the new owner. Ask me about the near mint SH15-B2 plinth which will be available later, it is not included in this sale.

**If the new owner wants... I can have every electrolytic capacitor replaced (using high quality Japan made capacitors like Panasonic, Kemet, Nichicon, etc...) in the unit (including the high voltage capacitor in the power supply) for an additional $200. That service would require about 10 days to complete. Personally, after having every capacitor in the unit tested, and knowing they are all Japanese quality capacitors, I would leave it as it is and I am certain it will provide years of faithful and trouble free service just the way it is.**

The bearing has been cleaned and lubed as well, and the unit is extremely quiet. If you know about these then you know what it is capable of.

Another member just advised me that Jim Howard has passed away which I was not aware of. My apologies if the former content offended anyone and my condolences to Jim's family. **
