Pro-Ject RM 5 Turntable with Speed Box S

The Project RM 5 turntable was very well received by reviewers and the marketplace. At $1,000 it shared most of its structural characteristics with the RPM 9, then Pro-Ject's top of the line table at $2,500. I invite you to search for reviews; you will like what you read. (The RM 5 was soon renamed the RPM 5.1. In studying the owners manuals I've not been able to find what upgrades if any went with the .1.)

The turntable comes with a 9" carbon fiber tone arm, three conical, adjustable feet, both felt and cork platter mats, and a screw-on record clamp. The build quality is high, and the form-follows-function design stands apart from other tables.
This example is in perfect shape.  I cannot find a blemish on it anywhere.  I'm rating it an 8 because it is 10 years old.  I am the first owner, and it has lived on a Salamander rack in a pet-free, child-free, smoke-free home. 
 
The price is firm because I am including the $150 Pro-Ject Speed Box S with the table at no charge. The box is optional with many Pro-Ject tables.  It improves the speed regulation of the motor and allows for switching between 33 1/3 and 45 rpm without having to manually move the drive belt. 
 
I'm selling only because I moved up the Pro-Ject turntable line. (This ad is for the turntable only, without a cartridge.)
 
If you spent less than $500 for your turntable, this is a great opportunity for you to significantly up your game.
