This Stereophile Class A integrated amp is conservatively rated at 200 watts 8 ohms and 350 watts into 4 ohms. It has an amazing built in DAC capable of 32-bit/192khz performance, as well as native DSD and DSD over PCM via USB with 6 digital inputs via USB, AES/EBU or S/PDIF. I sold my Bryston BDA-2 when I bought the 585 the DAC was so good. It also has an 80 Hz high-pass output for easy integration of subwoofers.

Questions for the seller |
---|
Does the network connection do streaming or just software updates? It is for software updates. You would a device to stream to one of they multiple formats digital inputs. |
Is it possible to run a seperate headphone amp from the pre-outs or are they only suitable for a sub? They are suitable for both. In the case of using it for a headphone amp you would not activate the High Pass filter so the entire frequency range would be passed. |
What would be the ideal seekers to match with this ? I struggle to think of a speaker that would not work will with the 585. I used it with Aerial 7T's and currently I am using it with B&W 8023D's. Both speakers are revealing and love power and sound amazing with the 585. It is conservatively rated for power and handles low impedence very well.
If you can be more specific about your concern I can try to provide a better answer. |
