Burmester 935 stereo preamp. Classy, German high end. $6,500 MSRP

Here is another affordable offering we have for you from the premium German brand, Burmester. The 935 preamp was previously part of an all Burmester system that included the 922 CD player and 933 power amp (both also for sale in separate listings). At $6,500 MSRP, its their mid-level offering for the audiophile who wants a taste of Burmester but don't want to splurge tens of thousands of dollars on their reference series. Although it is far more affordable than the 808 MK.V we also have for sale, it does not translate into shoddy materials used or sounded many times lesser. In fact, it sounded pretty good for what it is being priced at now and easily tops our pick for best sounding preamps under $3,000. There is this sweet liquidity in its sound that projects out a smooth musical  quality. It may not be on par with their reference lineup but compared with its other peers in the same price range now, it is "high end" on the cheap. Overall, this is a very appealing preamp. It engages you to the music and pulls you in as you listen to it more and more. Unit is in pretty good condition. Some minor scuff marks here and there but nothing major. The highly reflective nature of its chrome plating makes taking its pic a bit tougher it looks really good. We don't have the original box but will securely pack this for safe shipping.
