These 1 meter NORDOST QUATTRO FIL BALANCED INTERCONNECT cables are NEW.

A recent inventory at Nordost discovered an unused reel of Quattro Fil cable. They did the practical thing: convert into 1 meter interconnects.

Quattro Fil is the predecessor of Nordost’s Valhalla 1 cables.

Available in EITHER single-ended (RCA) OR balanced (XLR) configuration – the buyer must specify which is desired after the purchase.

This pair will ONLY include the cables – no packaging of any kind.

Quattro Fil was the first Nordost cable to use its proprietary MICRO-MONOFILAMENT design. It consists of four groups of conductors. Each group is made up of seven 99.999999% OFC conductors covered with 50 mils of extruded silver.

Each conductor is then wrapped with a very fine helix Teflon thread that acts as a spacer, having minimal contact to the surface of the metal. A Teflon tube is extruded over the spacer, sealing the conductor and suspending it in inert air. This prevents oxidation.

The four Teflon tubes are then wound around each other and are bonded together by a proprietary wrapping technique.

A dual layer of silver-served shielding is then wound around the assembly. Over this a Teflon jacket is extruded.

This cable originally sold for $1600.00 per 1 meter pair in the U.S.
