Telos 600 Mono Power Amplifier:
Developed around the highly expected new JOB5 circuit developped by Goldmund during the last 3 years, the Telos 600 is the new flagship amplifier in the line of Goldmund “Ultimate” components. With a power of 600W before clipping on 8 Ohms the Telos 600 is able to drive any speaker to its limits. With around 3 MHz of bandwidth at full power, the Telos 600 circuit is also the fastest amp ever designed by Goldmund. As an extremely powerful amplifier may be dangerous if improperly used, Goldmund developped for the Telos family a new protection circuit of higher safety and without any signal influence.

 

Special Features:


  • Very high Fast Pulse Power before clipping : 600W/ch on 8 Ohms. This transient power is the best guarantee for hyper-realistic dynamic reproduction.

  • Ultra-high speed new JOB5 circuitry : DC to 3 MHz bandwidth at full power before protection.

  • Unique circuit time accuracy : better than 100ps. A unique figure in the industry. Time distortion remains the most detrimental type of distortion introduced by analogue electronics, because it represents a form of signal degradation not existing in real life. This figure is rarely published by high-end Audio manufacturers due to the poor results achieved by most today�s design.

  • Unbalanced Analogue, Balanced Analogue, and Digital SPDIF inputs available. A 9-step input attenuator adjusts the level of the input by 3dB steps to match the volume in multi-channel systems.

  • Digital input module based on the new Alize 5 circuitry developed for the Goldmund Eidos Reference, the most accurate D/A circuit ever designed by Goldmund.

  • Mechanical Grounding construction for proper evacuation of any vibration-generated spurious signal inside the amplifier when played at high levels. New separate input and output circuitry to guarantee the mechanical Grounding of the Output circuit.

  • Improved Thermal Grounding construction : The power output Mosfets are assembled on a new twice larger gold-plated pure copper heat-transmitter to achieve an ultra-fast heat transfer and so limit temperature-related dynamic losses. The isolators used are in specially-treated Kapton, the thinnest and best isolators providing the highest thermal transfer rate.

  • Ultra-fast power supply design : 10 built-in high-speed transformers, separate ultra-fast rectifiers for each of the 2 supplies and multiple low capacitor values are used in the design in order to provide the fastest possible signal amplification without power-supply-induced contamination.

  • In addition to the 2 x 5-way binding post speaker outputs, the Telos 600 provides 2 Direct Goldmund Speaker Cable connection. The Direct Goldmund Speaker Connection provides the best possible link with the Goldmund Speaker Cable, avoiding its amplifier adapter. The connectors used (1.5GHz bandwidth and 4.5kW power capability) provide a contact quality and a perfect impedance matching that no banana or lug connection, even of highest quality, could offer. When coupled with the Epilogue Goldmund speaker system, no speaker adapter is used either, again increasing speed and time-accuracy of the high-energy transfer.

  • Totally new protection circuit giving much more resistance to the Telos 600 against mishandling. Output overload, temperature limitation, protection against HF and DC signals are all activated without any relay in the signal path.

  • Signal Sensing auto power on with adjustable sequencer and soft start to avoid power surges in multi-amp systems. Ultra-safe operation controlled by a separate micro-processor for glitch avoidance.
