Audio Research PH-3 SE

One owner, Audio Research PH3SE. This is not the standard 3 but the SE version which has factory upgraded components. Purchased from authorized ARC dealer Take 5 in New Haven, March 1998 for $2,495. Unit was in storage from Nov, 1998 through June, 2013 as we lived overseas during that time. Since coming back to the States I have listened mainly to ripped media, digital format. This unit was used mainly to digitize my LP collection. Always plugged into a surge protector since new, there have been zero issues. Cosmetically as good as you’ll see.

Unit comes with two sets of tubes. The originals from ARC, Sovtek 6922s and a set bought in November of 2015 which include Jan Phillips 6922 NOS for V1 and V2 positions from Tube Depot and Phillips/Holland Pope/PCC88/7DJ8 for V3 from Upscale Audio. Note that I will ship the unit with the tubes removed which will require removing the top plate to insert the tubes. I will leave the tube dampener rings on the newer set of tubes. The manual is very clear on setup and a diagram showing the tube locations by V1-V3 number make tube insertion easy. This is how the unit was originally shipped from the factory.

Original packing, owners manual, resistor loading kit and all original paperwork including ARC production test certificate. The OEM screwdriver is not included as it seems to be lost.
