Heathkit TT-1 Mutual Conductance Tube Tester - Excellent Operating and Beautiful Cosmetic Condition

Fully Restored by Bud Allen of CG Industries in 2015

Will Test and Match a Wide Variety of Tubes Including The Popular Audio Tubes Such as 2A3, 300B, 12ax7, 12au7, 12at7, 5751, 6L6, 6ca7, etc.

The Heathkit TT-1 is one of the few top tier tube testers ever made. It is on the same level as the Triplett 3444 and Hickock 539 testers.  It will test and match a wide variety of tubes including all the popular audio tubes.

This tester has a remarkably well-preserved meter, top plate, knobs and switches. It was restored/recalibrated in June 2015 by Bud Allen of CG Industries. Bud specializes in the restoration/calibration of Heathkit TT-1 and Triplett 3444 testers.  He added plate current jacks and included an information sheet explaining their value for tube matching.

This tester has seen little use since its service and restoration which is good for 5,000 hours service life.

This TT-1 is in a wooden case that Bud sent to a local craftsman who added a nice, durable cloth-like cover and new hinges, corner guards, handle and hardware.  As you can see from the pictures, the tester is in heirloom cosmetic condition.  You could literally leave this in your living room and your spouse would not complain!

Please see Bud's Audiogon feedback (glassandlight) to see that he has many satisfied customers.

Includes nice copies of the operational manual and the final edition of the tester's Tube Data.

If you've been wanting a high quality tester that will test and match a wide variety of tubes, this is certainly one to seriously consider.  Why mess around with some rust bucket on E-Bay that likely needs, at a minimum, hundreds of dollars of work to service and calibrate.

The tester will be packed with extreme care so that it arrives to it's new owner in the condition shown.  Insured shipping is a flat $60.

Buy with absolute confidence.  Check my superb feedback here and on E-Bay under the same user name.

REASONABLE OFFERS CONSIDERED.

Thanks for looking!

The below is an E-Mail I received from Bud Allen when he saw my add:

Hello Mark, I was sent this notice for the ad. I wish to clarify a few points. We did the case restore. As for the 5,000 service life, it really has to do with the electrolytic capacitors manufacturers warranty for hours of NON use or shelf life. It means little. The TT1 should be good for 20 years of trouble free use, the caps are Vishay among the best. The TT1 when done right and calibrated correctly is one of the best testers ...period, and better than 90% of Hickok testers. With this TT1 you can plate current match tubes, only the most expensive testers can do that, such as the 539C at better than two times your asking. Good luck Bud Allen
