Great opportunity if you've ever thought about having your own tube tester and a part of the great vacuum tube era of radio and tv.
I unexpectedly won two auctions for the best two testers available on E-bay at the time. Best based on brand, model and condition. Most are from the 50's and 60's and can have alot of rough use including rust, corrosion and frozen or broken parts inside. Allied Radio was a big Chicago company.
This one is a 1961 model and cleaned up as nice as I hoped except for the outer cloth. Most are far worse. The cloth was thin over a wooden box. I re-glued the tears in this one and it looks like the vintage piece it is. The handle and all feet are complete.
The inside control board is the most important though and is very nice condition with no rust or dings. Very clean with all parts moving freely including the tube chart roller. It has been re-calibrated for accuracy and tested. All switches, dials and meters work good and nothing is broken, bent, burned or chipped.
The manual explains all functions of tube testing and how to re-calibrate in the future. Also comes with complete tube manual with all tubes known to man inside to compliment the tube roller chart.
Pretty much just getting my money back, and offering a tester you wont have to take any big chances over. Fair price for the amount of fun.. I'm including shipping and PP fee. Thanks for looking.
