Simaudio Moon 310LP Phono Preamp with Power Supply, Complete and Perfect

Up for sale is a Simaudio Moon 310LP Phono Preamp and the Outboard Power Supply Unit, the Moon 320S. Both units are in great condition with no mars, scratches, or dings. The original client purchased both units in August of 2016 from a Simaudio dealer and have barely been used during the last year. It has 15-20 hours on them at most due to not having enough play time at weekends!

The 310LP is adjustable with internal jumpers (6 screws and the top cover is off). Adjustable settings include Impedance Loading (10, 100, 470, 1K, 47K Ohms), Capacitance Loading- (0, 100, 470pf), Gain Settings- (40, 54, 60, 66db. Note- add 6db of gain when using balanced outputs), and Equalization Curves- (RIAA Standard or IEC Modified Curve). The IEC Curve acts as a subsonic filter removing inaudible infrasonic bass below 20HZ. Input is with a RCA-SE phono cable.

The 320S external power supply really brings the 310LP to another level of performance. Included in the sale are the power cords for both units, manuals and original Simaudio shipping cartons for both units. Units will be double boxed for extra protection during shipping. The combined MSRP is around $3,300. They are in pristine condition - no marks, scratches or other defects. They have always been in a smoke free environment.

The combination has been truly incredible whenever I have had a chance to play vinyl. Just read all of the reviews on the web which I am also providing a couple of links below. You'll see this is an award winning combo voted by at least one magazine as the best overall preamp under $2,500 (without the 320S). They are currently set up as a combo for low output MC cartridges. The 310LP is very easy to change to many different set-ups. I have the dreaded upgrade bug, so am looking to fund my next phono stage with the sale of this combo. Not to suggest that the Moon combo doesn’t sound great as it truly does and I could easily live with this!

The MOON 310LP represents a significant step forward in phono preamplifier design. Like its predecessor, the highly acclaimed MOON LP5.3, particular attention has again been given to noise levels and dynamic range. The result is one of the quietest phono preamplifiers ever, on par and even superior to many models at significantly higher price points. Sonically, it portrays all the MOON hallmarks: clean, powerful, fast and extended bass combined with an open midrange and airy extended high frequencies.

A major strength of the 310LP is its highly configurable nature. There are numerous end-user adjustments for resistance loading, capacitance loading and gain level.
