Allnic Audio L5000 DHT

I am the original owner of this superb DHT (direct heated triode) preamplifier, which I have had for 6.5 years. This is a world-class piece of audio equipment, well engineered and solidly built (42 lbs). It is capable of delivering stunningly life-like and life-size sound with all kinds of music. Of course, YMMV depending on associated equipment, power cord and interconnects. Since purchasing this preamp, it has surprised and delighted me with its musicality and fidelity every single time I have turned on my system. The only reason for selling is that I have purchased the new Allnic L-8000 DHT preamp, which replaces this model (signal tube set remains the same).

I have rated it a 7 for the single small blemish on the left corner of the face plate, which is difficult to see in most light even close to the unit. There are also some rub marks on the bottom plate from moving the preamp around on Nordost Sort Kones (which work nicely with this piece). The asking price is discounted accordingly.

The unit will be shipped with tubes installed. The first (front) gain stage tubes are low hours (about 50-60) 3A/109A (American base) for lower gain than the standard 3A/110As (and a better socket fit than the lower gain MROPT8 suggested alternative in the manual). The second gain stage tubes are the original 3A/109B (Euro base) tubes. These tubes may outlast you. The voltage regulator/correctors are available on-line (ebay, for e.g.).

Includes remote control, manual, Allen wrench, gel socket tube puller, standard power cord, and original packaging. I will also include a pair of NOS 3A/110A (first gain stage, higher gain) and a pair of lightly used Kron KR3B (second gain stage) tubes (shipped separately).
