I have a pair (2) of Ferrari Testarossa seats I had commissioned RaceChairs furniture to make into lounge chairs for me.  I already had their Porsche GT3 seat (see other sale listing), so these were meant to sit on either side of the main chair.  I had them copy the seating position and geometry of the Eames lounge chair.  The frame is a welded steel assembly that the authentic Ferrari Testarossa chair locks into (using the stock underseat hardware and mechanism, the chair just clicks in and out with the press of a button).  The frame has a similar armrest design as the Eames chair did, only the outer frame is fabricated to replicate the vents on the side of the Testarossa.  Lower assembly is a polished 5 point aluminum bracket and height adjustable feet.  The recline mechanism allows you to adjust the recline angle if you don't like where it's set.
The seats themselves are original Ferrari Testarossa seats from a US car, in black leather.  They would be rated a 8/10 overall, but the bit of vintage "patina" on them is part of the overall charm!
The frame in the pics is the unfinished frame, painted in a primer grey.  They were going to be painted Ferrari's "rossa corse" red, however I decided to redo my listening room in the meantime and won't have room for them.  Instead of finishing them, I thought it best to leave them unpainted and let the new owner pick their color (black would be subtle, red could stand out nicely, a metallic silver would look amazing!).  I can arrange to have them painted before shipping, that cost would be $750 additional per chair in your choice of colors (pretty much any automotive finish). It's an auto body shop that does the paint, so you could have it done locally if you prefer (or have it powder coated if you prefer a more durable finish).
The inner frame foam and black suede cover and armrests are also not installed in these pics as they would be installed after the painting of the frame.  The frame and suede leather covering is included with the chair if you want it unpainted.
These cost $7,000 each finished but since I got them unpainted, I saved $2,000 and paid $12,000 for the pair.  Looking to get $2,500 each.  Shipping will need to be via LTL on a pallet, so only shipping to continental USA at this point (if you're outside the US and serious about purchasing, we can discuss shipping options).  This listing is for one pair or matching chairs (2 pieces, drivers side and passengers side seats)
