The Scansonic M-5 speaker is a compact, two-way, stand-mount mini-monitor made in Denmark.
The speaker is designed around an ultralight ribbon planar tweeter and a paper-polypropylene compound bass-midrange driver membrane. The speaker is crossed over at 3.5 KHz with a second order filter.
The Scansonic/Raidho speaker stands are not included in the price. They are sold extra and the price is $990/pair for the dual post stand and $810/pair for the single post stand.

I have really enjoyed Raidho designs at audio shows over the years and happened to read the Michael Borresen of Raidho was designing a cost effective models for Scansonic. For $590 bucks, its worth checking out. Compared to the Raidho X1 or Scansonic mb1 for that matter there are some things that I actually like better with the m5. There is a little more coloration but it's spread out, the mb1 is a little cleaner but makes the colorations more noticeable. All in all a well designed little speaker..."

| I like sound of ribbon tweeters, haven't heard of these speakers, although I recognize the parent brand as making quite expensive gear. Recommend these? was also looking at bookshelf Dynaudio's.
