This listing is for a
like new set of Dark Walnut Tannoy Revolution XT8F full range
speakers.  I picked these up recently (about 3 weeks ago)
from a distributor who had sold his business, but still had these in
storage.  They were used as a static
display at a show and had never been hooked up to an amp until I purchased
them.  When I got them, they were covered
in felt and bagged in plastic in their original boxes, with the original
packing materials and all accessories except a manual (a manual may still be in
one of the boxes, I really didn’t look for it). 
The spikes and cups have not been installed and are still in their
original packaging inside the boxes, and the grills are still inside the
cardboard shipping packaging, never removed. 
The speakers are perfect cosmetically and sonically.  They sound fantastic, and look great in my
office/listening space, but are just too big acoustic-wise for my small room.  Therefore, I am regrettably letting them
go.  They have only been sourced through
quality equipment and have not had any signal go through them any louder than
about 1/4 of what my current amp can put out. 
They have only ~10 hours on them, so they are not broken in yet.  Since they have been owned, I will
conservatively rate them at 9/10, although there is not one single blemish on
them. They are perfect.  I don’t think they
have been registered yet (I haven’t done it), so perhaps that is still a
possibility.

As stated above, this
listing is for a local sale only.    I
will not package them up and drive them anywhere and I will not ship them and
run the risk of damage from the morons at UPS or Fedex.  Anyone interested can come and audition them
with my equipment, then I will help pack them up in the original boxes for
transport to their new home.

From the Absolute Sound Review: The Tannoy Revolution XT 8F was Robert
Harley’s top discovery at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show. His first
impression was as follows: “After listening to it and looking at the real wood
enclosure, I guessed the price at $7000 to $10,000. The Revolution XT’s price
was then revealed to be just $2600 per pair.” After living with the 8F happily
for several months, I was ready to declare it a sensational entry-level
loudspeaker. But I see that I need to slightly amend that statement—the only
thing entry-level about it is the price. The real wood veneers and level of
finish don’t suggest an entry-level product, and sonically it performs to a
much higher standard. I’m in total agreement with Robert’s assessment: The
Tannoy packs a virtuoso midrange that is competitive with speakers approaching
$10k retail. I’m in no rush to displace the XT 8F from my listening room. And
that’s high praise from someone who is in possession of much more expensive
speakers. So do yourself a favor and give the Tannoy a listen—you’ll be glad
you did.
