For sale, package of 3 Stillpoints Aperture acoustic panels, with Cherry frame and cream coloured cloth. The price, $1500 for 3 ($500 each) is $260 less than I paid for them 3 weeks ago. My ouch is your gain.

How Do They Work (Extract from Review)

The Stillpoints Aperture is three products in one: an absorber, a diffuser, and a resonator and will do wonders to treat room resonances. At 24" square they offer easy placement and attractive aesthetics. Each unit comes with a holder to install on the wall, once you find the sweet spot for placement. The Apertures continually adapt to the dynamic changes in the amplitude and frequency of the music. Conventional acoustic treatments offer one continuous level of absorption or diffusion offer too much absorption at low levels and not enough at higher levels. The Stillpoints Apertures utilize a blend of absorption materials, and a unique design of internal chambers to trap the acoustic energy. The diffusion aspect of the Stillpoints Aperture breaks up the wave forms which will add mid to high frequency absorption and reduction. The resonator aspect offers control of the lower frequencies only when it's needed. Experiment with placement to achieve controlled bass frequencies with dynamic lifelike quality and speed. With bass energy controlled, one can enjoy a light, lively, sparkling room of shimmering cymbals and explosive drum attacks, with wonderfully clear midrange and vocals at all amplitude levels.

How Many Do You Need?
Having a medium sized room, I purchased 3 units, as recommended. I placed 1 on the wall behind the loudspeakers centered between them with the bottom edge at midrange tweeter height. I placed the other two panels to the left and right of the speaker's fronts at the first reflection points on the side wall, at midrange / tweeter height, 45 degrees off axis from the Tweeter.

What Condition Are They In
All 3 of the units are near new condition and have been out of the box for less than a month. One panel has a small scuff on one upper right front edge; which looks like a wood grain variation but is noticeable up close. To see scuff see attached last picture. Otherwise, like new.

How Well Did They Work
My room is particularly difficult with hard plaster, stone fireplace, lots of glass and wooden floors = lots of bouncing. Piano in particular rings, in the higher frequencies, at higher volume. With the Apetures installed, the piano was crystal clear - sparkling. Secondly the Apertures acted to contain and clearly define the soundstage, both in width and depth. Instrument placement was precise. Thirdly, transparency increased, providing more air around the instruments, and higher levels of dynamics on instrument attack.

Why Selling
My room is not only awkward in materials, it is also awkward to place them as recommended, so the proper placement did not fit the room layout. My audio room doubles as a living room so compromises were necessary.

Shipping, Etc.
The units ship in plastic wrap inside stiff cardboard liner and a thick cardboard box; so I have no concerns about shipping them but can also arrange for drop off between Toronto and London, on the 401/403 corridor. Payment preferred is Interac but I will accept cash and Paypal if you add the 4% fee. Buyer pays for shipping.
