Up for sale is a very rare Denon DP-80 turntable (comparable to SP-10 in terms of quality) in excellent working and cosmetic condition with a beautiful Fidelity Research FR-64 silver tonearm. These tables are essentially impossible to find in good condition in the US, and they are much higher end than the more typical DP-57s you may see listed. I believe they are on thrive way to being recognized like the SP-10, but their rarity makes them very unusual to see for sale. I am only listing this table as I have other tables, and only room to use one at a time - if you want a Luxman 171 with a 10” tonearm, I would keep this one and sell that. I would be willing to remove the tonearm for a buyer who just wants the table and plinth, but I think most people know that this combination is a giant killer and a stupidly good value at this price. The FR-64 with silver wiring alone is listed typically for several thousand bucks - it’s a phenomenal tonearm. Does not include cartridge, but I also have several high end MC cartridges which I could offer to a buyer. Buyer to add 3% for PayPal.

A bit of ad copy I found on the DP-80

In order to improve the sound quality and the performance of the record player, it is essential to effectively cut off the acoustic feedback, one of the factors in deterioration of the sound quality of the record player.

Based on that theory, the DP-80 is created through the combination of a double construction platter and outer-rotor type 3-phase AC servo motor.

It clearly proves to you that the sound can be so different depending on the turntable.
