Marantz SA8005 - Reference CD/SACD Player

Marantz's two‑channel only SACD/Red Book player was designed to outperform ever player in its price point and did they do a fantastic job!  The parts, circuitry, and construction are simply disproportionate to its low price—virtues that are mirrored in its equally superb-for-the-money reproduction of music. Tonally neutral, authoritative and natural, with just a hint of warmth—thus simply sumptuous on big material like operas and nineteenth-century symphonies—the SA8004 is a music lover’s dream.  (Ironically it was replaced with the SA-10 at $7000) 

This is a local trade and has seen very little play time due to it being installed in a beach house.  The unit is in excellent condition and repacked in the original box with the remote, cord and manual.  Even the box looks new!
