Tritium Audio X-80 speaker Triphazer analogue processor (Very rare)-PRICE REDUCED

I am selling this pair that I have used for my home theater front speakers and my 2-channel system.  I purchased these years ago from Tritium audio.

 

Please note that these are not the usual X-20 speaker triphazers that triutium audio sells online. These were custom ordered X-80, and they are more powerful with regards to the effect.

 

How do they work?

You attach the speaker cable to one end of the triphaser and a jumper between the triphazer and the speaker. I included the jumpers that tritium sent me which I never used as I use my own acoustic zen jumpers.

What do they do?

  I liked them a lot to the extent that I own 9 speaker level triphazers, one line-level triphazes, and 3 power level triphazers. They reduce the harshness, and brightness while giving the mid-range more bloom and the lower frequency more definition. They reduce listening fatigue and give overall a fuller and musical (more harmony) sound. In my home theater (DENON AVR 4806, B&W FPM speakers, Definitive technology SW) they sound marvelous. I have one on each front speaker and the center speaker. They sound natural and full. I like to listen to the Hobbit: the desolation of Smog(the dragon). When the dragon talks there is deep bass and fuller midrange sound.

In the 2 channel system, they reduce fatigue and give a smoother sound. They take you from the hi-fi sound or realm to the realm of music. I noticed more harmonics and coherence of notes with the triphazers on.

Again, these results can be system dependent. I have very revealing speakers(Eggleston works Andra). I also, read that a reputable audio seller was using these during audio shows to make their speakers sound realistic. When the visitor looked behind the speaker and asked the vendor what is this, he said we call them “triphazers”!!!.

Break-in

According to tritium the require a long time to break in, in the magnitude of months. My experience is that it takes some time: weeks to months.

Condition and history

I am the first owner. I am selling because I was using them for all surround speakers and I am not anymore. It makes sense to use them in speakers that have the full range and not only some effects.

Conservatively rated 8/10. I could see minor small blemish around the corner of one of them measuring 2 X2 mm
