Coherent Audio 10GR High Efficiency Speakers

For sale is a beautiful pair of Coherent Audio Model 10GR high efficiency speakers in walnut. These are hand-made in Canada by Frank Fazzalari and use a Radian coax driver. Frank's web site doesn't offer a lot of information, so here is what he sent me when I purchased these about a year ago.

- Power: min 5 max 250 watts RMS
- Freq: 38hz - 20Khz
- 8 ohm
- Sensitivity: 95 db
- Dimensions: 14 inches wide, 24 high and 10 deep with a 14-inch stand

These speakers come with the stands and include two of Coherent Audio's upgrade options -- Beryllium dome and Mundorf Supreme EVO Silver Gold Oil cap.

SET amplifiers are recommended and he voices them for low wattage amplifiers and silver wiring (Nordhost). I was using a pull-pull, as well as a SET amp I had at one time, and both sounded great. The speakers can handle any genre of music -- delicate instruments/vocals as well as rock and roll.

Selling because they aren't designed to be 10" from the back wall (which is where I have to place them in my room), and they produce a little too much bass there. If you can place them 2-3 feet out from the wall, I think you'll be very happy with their performance. They are neutral and open. The pictures show the two rear ports open and covered -- you can do some fine tuning with that.

I would prefer local pick up but please inquire about shipping if you are really interested. I'm in Portland, OR, and willing to drive up to 45 minutes to meet someone half-way. I do have the original boxes.
