This listing is for a vintage McIntosh MC2105 stereo power amplifier. This item has been serviced, tested, and cleaned. Both channels are clean and clear with no hum, buzz, noise, or distortion. All lamps, meters, and indictors are working.

New driver board pair from McIntosh installed
New modern bridge rectifier installed
All new incandescent lamps
New McIntosh feet on bottom
New McIntosh glass installed

The sound quality of this amplifier is at a substantial new level. There is a significant amount of clarity and coherence that was just not there before. The new driver boards from MAC are an absolutely essential upgrade as 40 or 50 year old original boards have taken the brunt of the abuse in these amplifiers.

I have been listening to this amp in my test system and find no faults. Preamplifier is Bryston BP26/MPS2 with B&W 804 D3 speakers. Film soundtracks and concert music events are reproduced with power, authority, and an organic texture that is absolutely satisfying.

Cosmetic condition is excellent. This item is physically clean with no dirt or nicotine contamination. IMO much closer to 8/10 overall shape. The transformer decals, paint, rear panel, chrome, are all in excellent shape. The only detriment are some marks on the chrome end caps on each side of the glass. The interior chassis components and PC boards are super clean with no cracked or burned components. If you are looking for a reliable good working and great sounding vintage McIntosh amplifier you will not be disappointed a real gem.
