I have for sale my own personnel TW Acustic Black Night turntable. Its had very little use, probably no more than 50 hours and it is like brand new.

Here are a few words from TW Acustic on the Black Night turntable:
In developing the Black Night, our aim was to build a turntable that could top even our own Raven AC in terms of subtlety, ease and silence. In this we have succeeded, and the results are seriously impressive. The Black Night portrays the music’s every detail with subtlety and stereo depth, whether it be human voice or instruments. Everywhere, you’ll discover nuances that had previously remained hidden. Attack and decay of transient notes are reproduced impressively. Thanks to the three-motor drive and the battery power supply, the Raven Black Night does its job with poise, serenity and composure, yet just like the other TW ACUSTIC turntables, it is highly dynamic, involving and rich in timbre.   The Raven Black Night is incredibly musical, its spatial presentation is so three-dimensional and tangible that the music is always reproduced with the utmost authenticity. As with the Raven AC, the Black Night also provides for the use of up to four tonearms. As an additional feature, we have developed an armboard that allows VTA to be safely and accurately adjusted during operation. This is achieved via a knurled thumbwheel, which allows adjustment to be precisely carried out without float.

Specification: Weight:
Chassis 30 kg
Platter: 20 kg
Motor unit: 10 kg
Motor control unit: 5 kgDimensions:
470 mm x 420 mm (W x D)
Motor 270 mm x 270 mm
Total footprint: 790 mm x 420 mm (W x D)
Chassis construction:
Material: 60 mm aluminium, ceramic bead blasted and silk matt black anodised.
Inlet: 25 mm of TW ACUSTIC’s proprietary Delrin-based compound, rigidly screwed to chassis. Feet and all other attachments are also ceramic bead blasted and silk matt black anodised aluminium.

Feet: Four, ceramic bead blasted and silk matt black anodised aluminium, designed and built by TW ACUSTIC featuring ball and spring suspension.

Platter construction: Material: 40 mm copper in combination with 20 mm of our special compound let into and screwed together with the copper platter.

Bearing: Bronze bearing, 16 mm hard metal shaft with ball on top, running on a thrust washer of ‘Material S ® (green)’. Bushing is machined exactly to fit the bearing with zero float, yet remains replaceable.

Motor: 60 mm aluminium, ceramic bead blasted and silk matt black anodised, in an identical shape to the Raven Black Night but 60% smaller. 4 height-adjustable feet on the outer corners. 3 motors arranged in an arrow formation, pointing towards the platter. The drive belt is guided through the drive pulleys and around the circumference of the platter.

Motor control unit: Two built-in power supplies – one is exclusively used to charge the batteries. In normal operation, the motors run from the battery supply alone, controlled by a microcontroller. Switching between battery and mains supplies occurs automatically without interrupting operation, as does battery charging. A remaining charge indicator is included on the front panel. Battery complement: 20 x rechargeable AA cells. Run time on battery operation: Approx. 20 hours. The turntable will run perfectly when the batteries are being charged.

Mains Voltage: set for 230v or 115v. Can be configured for either voltage before being sold.

Armboard: Supplied with one for the TW 10.5 / Graham Phantom mounting. Up to four tonearms may be fitted.

Review excerpts:

LP Magazine:- Once again, something unexpected from some corner of the room rushes in on you. Tonality, dynamics, this drive is of little interest. These are things that the arm and the scanner have to deliver. How much is possible, for example, shows the MFSL C 3.5 in Breuer: This station wagon has an immensely dynamic pace, but still plays soft and fluent. And in such a calm, but at the same time totally transparent way, that one can calmly ask oneself a fundamental question: What is it all on a record that we know nothing about? In any case, the Raven Black Night is a suitable tool to play records at a level that may still create a handful of drives on the world market. Congratulations to TWA. Given the fact that even the “normal” Raven AC is one of the best drives on the market, it is surprising that TW has succeeded in putting it back on the right track. The Black Night plays so confidently and vividly that the number of serious competitors is likely to be marginal. Golden Ear Awards 2016: Jonathan Valin- This is my Golden Ear Awards – the best stuff I heard this year. TW-Acustic Raven Black Night Turntable with TW-Acustic Raven 10.5 Tonearm ($45,050)

Let’s say—just for the sake of argument, mind you—that you don’t have $130k to spend on an Acoustic Signature Invictus/TA-9000 (plus another $17.5k for the dedicated stand it sits on). What’s a body to do? Well, meet the TW-Acustic Raven Black Night (and Raven 10.5 tonearm). No, the Black Night doesn’t take up the sheer square footage of the humongous Invictus; nor does it tip the scales at between 700 and 800 pounds (like the Invictus and its stand do). But at 143 pounds of Delrin-damped aluminium, copper, and bronze, this gorgeously made, beautifully engineered, three-motor (battery powered and regulated), single-belt-driven, unsuspended ’table is brick-solid—and (when equipped with its dual-pivot Raven 10.5 tonearm) comes a lot closer than shouting distance to the mastertape-like presentation of the Invictus for less than a third of its price. Thomas Woschnick (the TW of TW-Acustic) has always made turntables with gorgeous tone color and extended decay. The Raven Black Night adds speed and pace to the package, for a record player that offers the entire package.

This Black Night comes with the latest battery power supply and the all-important Yamada-San/TW Acustic mat, plus an armboard for a TW Raven tonearm. An alternative armboard can also be supplied for an SME fitment. BTW the Yamada-San mat is extremely important and enhances the performance of the Black Night turntable. In all honesty, I doubt this turntable has had more than 50 hours of use. If you would like to know more about this stunning turntable please call or email me. Although we are based in the UK we can ship this anywhere in the world and we will configure the mains voltage accordingly. Note: This turntable is advertised elsewhere and on our website www.gtaudio.com.
