Purist Audio Design Proteus Provectus Speaker Cables-Praesto

This superb set of Purist Audio Provectus Proteous Praesto Fluid speaker cables are about 80 inches long, including the tails. (2 meters) They come as 4 separate, heavy duty cables, 1 for each terminal! That provides the maximum isolation and performance. These were made in 2011, but sent back twice to Purist Audio. The last owner had them fully inspected and had WBT banana connectors replaced. When I received them, 2 things happened. First, they did not sound like my other Purist PP cables sound, they were a bit harsh, then 2 of the WBT bananas broke. I talked with Purist about both of these concerns. Jim Aud stated that these WBT connectors do sound harsh and often break! So I send them to Purist and had them install 8 new original Purist Audio gold spades, and inspect the cables once again. They now are more reliable and sound superb, as expected!! I think that I have a receipt somewhere for this work, but will have to look. The other confirmation from Purist from the last owner is in the box. Of course, the proper Purist bag is included.
I encourage you to search for reviews and Forums that provide glowing remarks for these cables. They do not come up for sale very often. Purist told me that many customers prefer these to the $8000.00 per set Dominus speaker cables. They find that the PP are smoother
I can't imagine any other cable, regardless of price will offer more pure muscle and natural musicality. These cables are an extra set, so I do not need them.
I will rate them as an "8" only because the spades have very minor marks, BUT they are in truly EXCELLENT condition.
