Auralic Polaris is 120wpc @ 8 ohms and 180 watts into 4 ohms. It has
two analog inputs and even has a phono stage The
POLARIS is a high-performance streamer, basically the award winning
Aries, a world-class DAC with technology borrowed from the Highly
reviewed Vega DAC, a digital
music server, a pre-amplifier and a 180-watts-per-channel power
amplifier the can handle the most demanding loudspeakers. With the ease
of a single box, the flexibility of an entire system, and the
uncompromising quality of AURALiC’s award-winning engineering, the
POLARIS has the power to breathe life into everything you listen to. We
install a 2TB internal drive with RAM buffer playback before shipment.
The POLARIS is ready for every type of digital sourcing available with a
host of physical ports, from USB to TOSLINK, AES/EBU and more run to a
DAC with lots of Vega technology and a Femto clock. But there’s another
trick up this unit’s sleeve: two pairs of high-end, multi-function
analog RCA connectors that can be configured for pre-amplifier output
duties, line-level input, or phono input to take advantage of the
POLARIS’ built-in phono stage.
Add native integration of AURALiC’s Lightning OS and your system opens
up to the world of high-resolution streaming from network and online
streaming like TIDAL, Qobuz and Internet Radio. A RoonReady endpoint
with support for AirPlay, SongCast, and Bluetooth, the POLARIS is the
missing link that finally unites all the ways you listen to music.
