McIntosh C42

I've enjoyed this pre for many years as the front end of my phono system.  Originally sought out this model to tame bass problems in my listening room without digitizing the signal.  The C42 is unique in that you have analog frequency contouring available to fix some issues without messing up the sound.  I have taken good care of this unit, always storing it in a glass-front cabinet.  No pets, no smoke.  Some small marks on the silver, aluminum trim can be seen in the pics, but the top, sides and glass have no visible marks.  Around 5 years ago, I drove this over to Terry DeWick in  Knoxville for a full cleaning and bulb replacement (only issue was dead bulb), and it's been flawless since.   As you can see in the pics, I have all the original materials, including the dealer brochure and manual.  I will pack per the McIntosh instructions in McIntosh packaging, and ship via freight of your choice.  While I'm not a regular trader on Audiogon, I hope that the condition of the unit and thoroughness of the pics and materials will show that you will not be disappointed.  Happy listening.  Matt
