I am selling my Focal Scala V2 Utopia III speakers in essentially new/mint condition with no physical or other blemishes. These speakers were purchased from Apex Audio Denver late September 2016 and continue to perform spectacularly...to the point that I am very hesitant to sell them. But I have an opportunity to move up to Focal Stella Utopia's and so am offering my babies for sale. I'm not sure exactly what it is about Focal, maybe it is the French attention to musical detail, maybe the fact that every part of the speaker is built by Focal in France, not sure but they simply are some of the best imaging speakers I have heard. They consistently present a wide and deep sound stage and, even at higher volumes, never loose their musicality.

Martin Collom (HifiCritic, April/May/June 2013) concluded in his comprehensive review of the Scala V2's (the last upgrade of the Utopia III range prior to the Evo which was introduced in late 2017), "For a speaker of its size and price, the clean high level dynamics and consistent clarity are its star qualities, plus the ability to push strongly over the whole frequency range without faltering." He further stated, "those with larger (over 70m3) listening rooms will welcome the essentially neutral, classic character of this V2 Scala, which so clearly and substantially improves on its predecessor." These are V2's not the original Scala Utopia's.

As mentioned, these were purchased from Apex Audio Denver who will also see to the boxing (in original shipping cartons) using Apex's preferred professional movers. The shipping will of course be Freight. Please feel free to contact Apex Audio Denver if you need further confirmation of the quality and condition of these Scala V2's.

International sales welcome with payment via bank wire transfer. No exceptions and no trade offers please.

Questions for the seller
Quick question, what size subwoofer are you using? Do you have an external crossover for it? And a brief description of your electronics. You literally have my ideal dream set up and I’m just very excited to hear some feedback on what you’re running and your thoughts on it also the size of your room. If I can swing it in a few months I would love to take these off your hands. I look forward to hearing from you
Those are JL Audio Fathom F113 subs. They use an ultra-long-throw 13.5" W7 driver combined with a very powerful (2500W short-term RMS) switching amp. The crossover is internal to my Devialet's. The Devialet's allow you to configure just about all the signal processing you wish. I currently have the Scala's set to have a low pass at 40Hz and the sub's to have a high pass at 40Hz. To be honest though, the Scala's are truly full range and you really do not need the sub's. They do add a bit of umph when you have content at 20Hz or below, but other than that, the Scala's really handle everything beautifully. My room is odd: like 25' deep x 20' wide with 10' cathedral ceilings. Because the room is multi-purpose and not just a listening room I am planning to add some portable acoustic treatment for the first reflection points on right/left. But I can tell you that even in such a complicated room, the Scala's were easy to set up and seem to be pretty flexible as to positioning.
Which cables are those?
