Sound Quest SQ-12

Sound Quest SQ-12 CD Player. Not in a huge rush to part with this one, but I just don't use it enough (meaning it has been used exceedingly sparingly, I guess). List price is $1500 (or more) new, I've seen it for as little as $1300.     

It's a unique unit in appearance, but the takeaway for me is the quality of the sound. I've had to sit-down twice when I've listened to music out of a new component... the first was my first experience of a McIntosh amplifier from Audio Classics, the second was from from this CD player using the previously referenced amp. It's really, really good. Check the reviews if you have any doubt. It's incredible. 
   
There is a spot of rubbing on the top that I hadn't noticed until I stared straight down at it... I was able to catch it in a close-up picture; it's hard to see unless you're staring straight-down at it (as you'll see in the top-down photo). There's also a small indent on the front top edge of the wood panel, which I was not able to capture in a picture. Rating it a 7.

Shipping or Delivery:  
1)  No charge for PayPal; it's against PayPal's seller policy to charge for the seller fee (when you see people charging 3% they're violating the terms of sale and they not only lose seller protection, they risk account closure). 

2) "Local pick-up" would occur in Salem, OR and I'd happily take $475 cash (not PayPal, not check or money order) if that were the case (just tell me it's a local sale for pick-up in your offer and we'll be set); I'd even consider delivery, depending upon your location :)

3) Shipping and insurance to continental United States will be $60; it will be more than this (the unit is quite heavy) and I will cover the overage.

4) I'd consider shipping to AK and Hawaii, but that's going to need to be exact shipping - it's likely to be expensive (again, the unit is quite heavy).
