For sale is an AmpsAndSound Mogwai Special Edition Headphone Amp. This is a wonderful tube amp that has the power to drive any headphone (I'm using the Focal Utopia). The sound is warm, with strong base, while retaining terrific detail on the upper end. Please see ampsandsound.com for details.
I purchased the amp new on May 3, 2018. The amp has been very well cared for and I can't find a scratch or smudge anywhere. The walnut trim is beautiful.
The Amp (retail $2500) comes with the Coupling Cap Upgrade ($200) and Input Transformers ($450), for a total retail price of $3050 after discounts.
Also included is the transferable lifetime warranty (see photo for details).
This amp works with a wide variety of tubes. It was shipped with a Russian 5U36/5U4 rectifier tube, a JJ 6SL7 input tube, and two Tung-Sol 6L6GC STR output tubes. All are included in excellent condition.
I'm also including $788 of tubes I purchased new to use with the amp: Rectifiers - Amperex Bugle Boy GZ34/5AR4 with Double-D getter, NOS Mullard 5AR4/GZ34, Sovtek 5AR4, Genalex Gold Lion U77/5AR4/GZ34, and Tung-Sol 5AR4/GZ34. Input Tubes - Treasure 6SL7-Z, and Tung-Sol 6SL7GT (two) Output Tubes - Tung-Sol 6L6GC Big Bulb (two), Tung-Sol EL34B (two), and Bendix 6889 (two) with adapters. You'll have a great time experimenting with the different tubes.
Original power cord and owners manual are included, with all the original packaging.
