This listing is for an MC-12 Balanced HD EQ. Original retail price of $14,000. This was Lexicon's flagship model in the mid 2000s (2006).

This preamp/processor is being sold AS IS. I will discuss its known condition below.

The unit will ship in its original box with the remote and power cable. I thought I had the original manual but I can't find it. If I locate it before the sale it will ship with that too.

I am the original owner of this unit and I bought it under employee accomodation around 2006 as I am the owner of a high-end stereo equipment store. It has remained in place, in my home system, this entire time with the exception of two repairs, very early on, to the same power supply. Since then, the unit has functioned flawlessly until recently when I noticed that the rear-right surround channel from the RCA port is dead. Additionally the included remote control has become sticky to the touch. It is not the result of use or dirt, but rather a degradation of the material used on to make the remote. The remote was only used to setup the unit and make configuration changes as the preamp was controlled via RS232 by a Crestron control system. I used the system for HDMI switching, analog and digital inputs and 7.1 surround using RCA outs with the exception of the front two channels using XLR balanced cable output. As I mentioned the unit works as I used it with the exception of the rear right surround RCA output. It is possible that the XLR output works but I did not test it. The firmware on board is upgraded to the latest firmware.

Currently the unit has been disconnected and boxed up for sale.

All in in all, when this unit is EQ with the onboard eq program, it sounds incredible! This would be a steal for any home 5.1 surround or stereo setup.
