A McIntosh MVP881audio.video player and was a demonstration
model. The unit recently had the laser assembly replaced directly from the
McIntosh factory in Binghamton, New York.
The unit is fully functionally and operational. Original remote, box and packaging comes with MVP881.
The player is a 8 out of 10 condition.
NOTE: I just looked into the unit box and the remote and manual is missing. I will order replacements from McIntosh and provide to the buyer at a later date when received.

The MVP881 BR Universal A/V Player from
McIntosh is a high performance Blu-ray player with web-enabled features that
excels at playing SACD and DVD Audio discs as
well as standard CD’s and DVD’s. The MVP881 BR features custom fabricated
steel and aluminum casework with unique,
compartmentalized sub structures that inhibit resonance while shielding
sensitive audio circuits. Also noteworthy is an all-metal disc mechanism; set
in a heavy, damped base, this disc mechanism is quiet running, highly accurate
and features a cast-aluminum disc tray. A custom designed linear power supply,
with R-core transformer, forms the foundation of the audio topology and
provides the low noise, distortion free performance that McIntosh customers
insist upon.
MVP881 BR HDMITM V1.3 supports Dolby* TrueHD and DTS*-HD
Master Audio over HDMITM. Audio and video are fully implemented with HDMITM
Mode and Resolution being selectable from the front panel. The latest Dolby
TrueHD and DTS Master Audio codecs are supported and an uncompressed, 24-bit,
192 KHz PCM 7.1 channel audio bitstream is also available. Four 32-bit, 192 kHz
internally-balanced, stereo DACS deliver 7.1 channels of audio output; a fifth DAC supplies a separate, stereo
downmix. On-board audio decoding with full bass management and a multi-channel
audio output enable use with legacy A/V processors. Differential balanced,
analog audio circuitry is used throughout.
