Audiophile Quality Full Range Monitors - Canton: Karat 200 Speakers - Compare to B&W, Thiel low end

CANTON - Karat 200 German manufactured high end audiophile 3 way speakers with unbelievable range and exceptional sound quality. Priced far less than any speaker you can find of this quality. Clean crisp highs, smooth mid-range and a fantastic low end down to 28 hz. Beautiful walnut veneer cabinets, 10 ½"w x 16 ½"h x 9 3/4'd with beautiful sturdy well manufactured metal perforated grilles. I have been a stereo buff since the late 60's and through the years I have accumulated a lot of very good audio equipment. I have always been most interested in the best sound quality your money can buy without getting into the over the top high end equipment that for me never made sense because I found it very hard to justify the excessive cost for specifications that were not necessary for quality sound reproduction. One of my favorite speaker companies has been Canton. I find these speakers to have all the right ingredients; great sound, high quality cabinet construction with the use of high quality materials and speaker components. I have 2 pair of these speakers for sale, one I bought years ago and a second pair with a black satin finish (8 ohm very rare version) that I bought from a friend  that are also in excellent condition.  This pair was originally a white finish that I lightly sanded, repaired some scratches and refinished in satin black along with a paste wax finish.  These speakers have been lightly used over the years and very well cared for.  Both pair are in excellent audio and cosmetic condition. Close to $1,000 a pair in their day.  These are must hear speakers that won't disappoint!!

The satin black finish pair are RARE 8 OHM version Canton Karat 200's.  These are also part of the Karat 100, 200, 300 series from the late 80's. Very efficient speakers at 90.2 db. Canton produces some of the most accurate speakers around. Very full bass from a large bookshelf speaker. They did not make many 8 OHM speakers so if you have amps that do not handle 4 OHM loads then look at these.
