Van den Hul has recently introduced a new state of the art Colibri cartridge, a new design with a new generator, a short boron cantilever, new developed premium parts. This cartridge that is available in a very limited number and comes in several body’s, is called “ Colibri XGW Master Signature Stradivarius”. The cartridge is available in several body’s. The name Stradivarius means that the wood body has been treated with the special Formula Stradivarius violin lacquer. Standard body is the KOA wood body. Also available on special request in a polycarbonate body (no Stradivarius). The most exclusive version and in my view the best sounding cartridge is the African Black Wood Grenadille version, build in a very rare hand carved body, the name of A.J. Van den Hul in-scripted in the front and filled with gold colour powder. Beautiful finished and in sound just this little extra dynamics. The output has been raised to 1,1 mV resulting in a very good dynamic sound, great bass performance, extreme good channel separation and tracking. On special demand a lower output can be purchased. This cartridge does come for a retail price of about 12000 Euro and more depending on the country f purchase. The version in the African Black Wood Grenadille body will be 12500 Euro. It depends on the country you are living, so it may be higher in other parts of the world. I offer the KOA version for 5450 usd**/ 4750 Euro* and the African Black Wood Grenadille version for 5700usd** /4950 Euro.
