RELIST:LOWER PRICE,BETTER PHOTOS and CUSTOM SHIPPING CRATES!These 1985 Klipsch Corwalls in Oiled Oak and Cane grill cloth are highly upgraded.The cabinets, have no nicks,scratches,or dings.Excellent to Near Mint condition. They have the optional risers and removable wheels for easy location of the sweet spot..There are 2 crossovers in each speaker instead of the standard one. Here is the list of upgrades: ALK ES5800 ( midrange/tweeter network) AP12-600 (woofer to midrange network.) These crossover networks can be adjusted by changing the settings to suit your own personal tastes.Instruction manual included. These crossovers are the best quality and craftmanship for the Klipsch. The internal wires from crossover to crossover has been upgraded to 16 gauge (99.999%) pure solid silver core wire from Tempo Electric.Also all the wires from both networks going to all the drivers themselves are the same solid core silver.The tweeter horn is upgraded to a Elliptical wood horn for wider dispersion and to prevent ringing. Also the squawker (midrange ) horn is made from wood with a 2 inch throat and is also Elliptical for wider dispersion with no ringing.These horns came from FastLane Audio. The Drivers themselves are B&C (made in Italy) DE 120-8 tweeter, DE 85 TN-8 midrange, and 15PS 100-4 woofer. The speaker connectors are also upgraded to WBT 0763 (made in Germany). These connectors are also connected to the crossover with 16 gauge solid silver core wire. Better soundstage, smoother highs,more focused and natural midrange , deeper and more solid bass. These are considerably more weight so pick-up preferred,however I will ship freight,in custom wood crates just like Wilson Audio does, for ultimate protection. Total weight of each speaker in it's crate is 260 lbs. there are no nicks,scratches,or dings.The cabinets are PERFECT! Included are original manual,Cornwall literature,ALK crossover instructions,Vintage Klipsch speaker catalog for 1985 and B&C Speaker history.These speakers have the impact of a live performance."you are There!" | The crossover is changed. The internal wiring and B&C drivers are new. The speakers connectors are German. The horns are wood from Fastlane Audio. What is left that is Klipsch except the cabinet? What sonic reference do I have? A Cornwall weighs 90 lbs so each crate is 170lbs?? The actual speakers weigh in at 125 lbs each.You can go to ALK Engineering website and look up the crossovers for addtional information. Also The webcite Fastlane Audio will show you the advantages of the wood horns. Also Tempo Electric webcite will give you information on the silver wire. All these improvements make the old Cornwall SOooooo! much better for lower cost than going out and purchasing a Name Brand speaker. OUTSTANDING results!!!! The result is a Beautiful Klipsch original cabinet with a Hemi Under the hood (so to speak) |
