| The Spectral website doesn't say that this is a balanced device. Am I right to conclude that it isn't? The DMC-30SV has a fully discrete balanced line input as well as a fully discrete balanced line output. This is the only preamp that Spectral has ever made that has a fully discrete balanced line input. |
| I have read that Spectral equipment doesn’t always work well with some other equipment and that it’s designed, for the most part, and sounds best with other Spectral gear. I have an Pass Labs XA30.8 amp that I really like. Do you feel that this preamp will be compatible? Thank you. Scott. A Spectral preamp will drive any power amp as it is very stable and outputs considerable current. Though I haven't tried your specific model of amplifier, I believe that you would be very happy with this preamp used in conjunction with it!
