Balanced Audio Technology VK-5i

Selling my beloved preamp because I'm moving to Costa Rica. I've enjoyed many years, off-and-on, of listening and it has functioning flawlessly, never been to a shop. The sound is sweet, open and transparent, and you can really hear the difference in the tubes you put in it, with the Telefunkins in the line stage sounding the best, not surprisingly. I ran a couple of NOS 1960 RCA Black Plates ($600/pair) for the two power stage tubes, along with an old set of Tele's in the line stage, and there was as sweetness and reality that was amazing! There was a lot of talk that this version of the amp was more pure with less digital addition to it than later versions. I've been very happy and never wanted to change out my pre-amp. It does what it does and get's out of the way, adding only the specific tube quality. I can't find a scratch on it.

2 Tung Sol 7581A, about 120 hours, about 1/4 inch too tall so I leave the cover off - looks and keeps cool. Black Max Series Silver Reference MKV Power Cord with Wattgate 350i AG connectors. CNC machined aluminum remote, in perfect working order. Best remote I've ever held! It's missing one of the rubber nubs on the back, otherwise perfect. I'm including a heap of old 6922 tubes, some are good, some are bad, includes Amperex, Siemens and others, just for fun, and I won't need them without the BAT.
