I've rated this preamp as an "8" but it's better than that what with minimal blemishes and noise-free operation. It was also checked-out by Mike Zuccaro. The Athena II is different from the original Athena; mostly improved. It does not run too hot and is reliable as a result. Yours (should you choose to own it) has the optional phono section. A full complement of features is included including tape-to-tape dubbing. The tape outputs are buffered, BTW. I posted the Athena II manual found at hifiengine (Below). Box is not original but same size.
