Parasound Halo JC3 Phono Preamp; Flawless Condition

This listing is for a lightly used example of the original Parasound JC3 phono preamp.  This is a transparent sounding unit with tons of gain.  It's rated at 47 dB and 68 dB for MM and MC modes, respectively, but Stereophile measured it at a whopping 57 dB (MM) and 77 dB (MC) from the balanced outputs.  This preamp will handle the lowest of low output MC's without the need for a step-up transformer.  (Parasound reduced the gain in the newer JC3+ for better compatibility in some systems.)  I used this JC3 with a variety of line stages and never had any hum problems.  A used JC3 in nice condition (like this one!) is simply an outstanding value for what you get.  Will ship within the US or Canada at the buyers expense, and I will handle Paypal fees at my asking price.  I typically ship within one day of receiving payment.  Local pickup with cash is also welcome.
